Type

Coming from a family of writers and editors, it seems inevitable that I would gravitate toward the design of words and text. For the past several years I have been increasingly more involved in typeface design.

My primary interest is in text type designs, and I have been greatly influenced by the work of mid-20th century American designers like Dwiggins, Ruzicka, and Blumenthal.

My first full typeface design, Whitman, received an award from the Type Directors Club in 2002.
