Matisse

The owners of Matisse, the Maltese, wanted a playful portrait to give as a birthday gift for their 12-year-old son. They liked the idea of depicting his dedication to protecting their home and family, and they wanted their other pets in the picture as well, if possible. The resulting portrait included Cuddles the hamster, Stubbles the gerbil, Nancy the horse, and a stylized version of the family crest.
